Queenswood’s Wellbeing Centre is a space for students to have a quiet and reflective moment during their busy school day. The Wellbeing Centre Team will help the students find proactive solutions to help build confidence, self-esteem and resilience.
The Wellbeing Centre Coordinator is there to welcome students, and to offer guidance, support and strategies should they need any. There are designated areas for students to be able to do mindfulness activities and take a time-out in a calm environment. The goal is to take a proactive approach, so that they feel better in themselves to take on the rest of their day in a positive way.
The issues that the Wellbeing Team can support with are:
- General anxiety
- Confidence and resilience building
- Transitions
- Academic stress
- Relationships
- Advice
- Provide a quiet space
- Group work and workshops exploring issues like friendships, self-esteem and transitions.
- General worries and concerns
Our aim is to help equip the students with tools and strategies to help support them and find ways to improve their emotional wellbeing.
